Your Peace? or Your Pride?

peace vs pride

There is so much I can say about this subject and it will take much vulnerability!
This topic deserves a podcast and not just a post, but I felt to encourage someone today!

“You do not need to sacrifice your peace to sustain your pride.”
Now I understanding that this may not be applicable in all contexts (depending on your convictions and leading.), but for the majority of the areas in my life, this belief has enable me to NOT have to live under peoples often conclusive opinions and rash judgements.

I’ll never forget the moment that I felt God deposit this pearler of wisdom into my heart. In turn it brought me much courage and liberated me to experience a truer outworking and greater level of freedom in my life.

If the Lord has called you and is having you to remain in what you have started you have much access to His supernatural peace. It is your promise and is readily available, it is found through lending your heart to trusting him. He will also cause you to place healthy boundaries in your journey that help you maintain this peace. And yet other times you may call you to discounting a journey because you are asking for supernatural empowerment for an area you were never invited into.

I want to highlight the times however that He will call you out of something He has led you into to give you the opportunity to realise that your peace is more valuable than your pride (yep… need a podcast to share my story on this one).

Perhaps you are feeling overwhelmed by the secret battle to keep your self image intact and your possessions. May its keeping your pride flourishing but instead your peace is dying… you must be exhausted!

Can I encourage you?! You don’t have to keep sustaining something if it causes you to loose your peace in order for you to keep your pride.

May you not measure your success to someone else’s standard or ideal. I invite you to ask the Lord for His standard in your life, write it down so that you can see it, it will surprise you to see how valued and successful you already are!

Remember not all expectation from others is necessarily bad, but when we forego the need to meet anothers UNREDEEMED EXPECTATIONS (those expectations that people have towards us that is not heaven filtered); we will in return be able to drop the unloving measuring stick that we often hold in front of others.

Can I encourage you today; the brave individual who chose to explore a path beyond your comfort zone, accepting the risk of discontinuation; Do not be afraid to let go if you are called to do so. God will call you to let go of somethings because He has something better in store, and from personal experience I can tell you, what He has is way more appealing than another persons approval.

My pray for you in this moment is that God will enable you to”guard your heart for everything you do comes from it” (Proverbs 4:23) and that you will allow, “the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, (to) guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
I bless you with a strong heart that is full of courage, that is enamoured by the love and approval of God. May Gods thoughts towards ring louder than of those around you. Remember He knows more and can see clearer than they can, peoples applause is temporary but the fathers appreciation of you is ETERNAL!

With celebration and understanding,
